I want to consider this technique in a meaning called plane masking rather than paper-cutting. This flat dimension similar to the shadow is referred to as seeing in piles in a photograph. I was using the mirror in solid creation in 1990. I created the solid work which used glass intentionally for the first time in 1992. The joint of the use of my glass was carried out on both sides of the photograph work in 1998, and it continued until it made a work become independent as object. Recently, I approach glass by poetic interpretation called the transparent dangerous level surface by hard rather than the structural functional meaning which glass itself has. The character as an object of the photograph which was printed on paper and which waved is inserted into glass, and changes.

Although, as for the performance of T2, use of a color positive film was demonstrated enough. BW positive film which IKEDA was using this summer, absolute beauty of monochrome positive film was very impressive. Even so, although I was not going to persist in monochrome, I thought first to one of the method to control project. When monochrome negative film was printed, there is high flexibility and I thought that it became evil in this project. When the shutter of a camera is pushed, I want to end photography.
A camera uses only CONTAXT2.
This project is restricted to a single focal compact camera. It is because the character (tendency) of a Gaze can be extracted to one. I considered use of the wide-angle lens of CONTAXG2 at the beginning. However, I decided to choose T2 in consideration of not being the project which aims at the photograph work which becomes independent. I judged that it was suitable in this project, after evaluating the mobility of T2, and the lens performance enough.
It is too small CONTAX T3. The lens which carried out the capability rise from "ZONA T*35mmF2.8" of T3 to "ZONA T*38mmF2.8" although it was good. T2 became a production stop , so second times type also became cheap by development of CONTAX T3 is also attractive.
